Caruso

Located on Gustavo Mejía Ricart, in Plaza Paseo del Prado, Caruso is the most innovative and chic pizza restaurant in Santo Domingo, taking the Italian dining experience to the next level. Part of the Food Invest group, known for its innovation in Dominican gastronomy, Caruso has become an instant success since its opening. Inspired by the figure of the Italian nonna, it blends traditional charm with a modern touch. Its design, by Dominican architect Ramón Emilio Jiménez Vicens, has gained international recognition and will be featured at the Ibero-American Design Biennial in Madrid. Caruso stands out for its cosy atmosphere, intricate décor, and unique elements such as lemon tree chandeliers and tomato-shaped lamps, creating a memorable environment that transports its visitors to the warmth of a home. The project received a special mention at the second edition of the APE Grupo Architecture Awards (2023).
