Digital printing has marked a turning point in ceramics. Thanks to this technology, collections such as Fables reach an impressive level of detail, encouraging the convergence of materials and opening new possibilities in design. One of the key elements that inspire Fables is boiserie—wooden panels on walls, popular in France during the 17th and 18th centuries. In fact, Fables is directly inspired by one of the rooms at the Hôtel Rohan in Paris, which still houses a room filled with boiseries, known as “Le Cabinet des Fables de la Fontaine.” This connection to the French boiserie tradition, combined with the collection’s renewal through new colours and baseboards, reinterprets the concept of elegance by blending classical inspiration with cutting-edge design.
